I also got a PS2 slim somewhere along the way, mostly just to use as a backup. I've been meaning to fix it up and set it up with FMCB/OPL to use as a backup. Multi System - Should work with any fat PS2 and almost all slimline except the very latest. So everything is ok until here, I get to the ulaunch v4.39 screen, select mass->free_mcboot.elf, but the install won´t start! Apparently OPL has come a long way and you can use a Slim PS2 and SMB loading to play games off your local network via a local networked PC which transmits it to the PS2.

if not your only real option is to burn your discs, but you may have issues with some games. you can load the boot disc on a modded ps2 and copy the files to memory card. james bond and a few othergames (google has a list of games that work) allow you to swap disc during the game and load the boot disc then put the program onto a memory card. I would recommend getting an internal ide drive and a network adapter if this is a fat ps2. basically you have to get a computer program onto a memory card. When you click on copy games at their members access only area, they tell you that you now have to click on 3 external links to download three other programs: you will have extremely choppy video as a result in mostly all games. That program for copying games doesn't exist!!! Wait as a window appears and text scrolls down the screen and then stops. Drag the backup file of the PS2 game that was copied to the hard drive earlier onto the PS2 game hacking file program that is inside of the window to launch it. You may think you are paying for a download for a program to copy games. Double-click on the PS2 game hacking file set folder to open its window. So you pay the $29.99 for the Game Copy Wizard download from their site: Game Copy Wizard has no program or software and there is nothing to download to copy games.
